5/2025 Feedback Session
As for the April online session, this constituted the fourth official moment of the Assembly, with an online gathering open to all and focused on helping the Assembly Members refine the draft recommendations, ahead of the Vienna final moment.
Acerca de esta asamblea
The online session and overall fourth assembly moment of the Democratic Odyssey, following up on the previous online assembly in April and organised before the final Vienna assembly moment.
Differently from the assembly session in April, which is to be understood as the joint fourth Assembly moment together with this Feedback Session, the online gathering was open to the general public- The aim was to receive inputs from analysts while also sparking a broader debate and opportunity to receive insights from different disciplines and lived experiences. Several guest speakers provided valuable feedback on the recommendations drafts that had been further refined after the online session in April.
In the second part of the session and behind closed doors so they could have a safe space to deliberate, the Assembly Members set out the work to turn these feedbacks into possible amendments to the recommendations. This was done by deliberating in smaller groups. At the end of this moment, the Democratic Odyssey crew assisted the Members in creating a Drafting Committee - a body composed of Assembly Members and volunteering that would further refine the recommendations, staying true to the feedback received. Throughout the month of May, the Drafting Committee met several times and the result of this work was presented in Vienna, in the form of a draft "Citizens’ Charter".
The recording of the first (public) part of the feedback session can be viewed here.
