The Democratic Odyssey prepares for the second moment of its 2024/25 Pilot Assembly in Florence
About this assembly
The Democratic Odyssey prepares for the second moment of this 2024/25 Pilot Assembly in Florence
On 21-23 February, the Democratic Odyssey will dock in the historic settings of Palazzo Vecchio and Palazzo Buontalenti, in Florence.
Building on the momentum from Athens, this Assembly seeks to deepen our shared understanding and experiences of crises, through the lenses of democratic action. Across the three days of meetings in Florence, Assembly members will engage in discussions drawing on the insights and proposals previously developed. Participants will work on these ideas, considering the balances required between local and transnational needs, cultural traditions and innovations, individual freedoms and collective responsibilities.
Florence, with its rich history as a hub of art, culture, and innovation, offers the perfect backdrop for these discussions.
Together, we aim to chart the course of this Odyssey - one that advances the vision of a permanent assembly to strengthen democracy, build trust, and foster inclusion across Europe and beyond.
Stay tuned for updates, as we set sail for Florence!
