The Travelling Assembly
Towards a permanent Peoples' Assembly for Europe
What of Athens? What next?
Which conversations did Athens bring about the most? What was discussed as an Assembly and what does this tell us about this collective journey? We ask you to reflect on the Full Report (External link) from the DO first Assembly meeting in Athens, particularly to ask you what you think we should collectively continue to discuss ahead of our next Florence meeting!
You can add a comment to this debate and interact with other Assembly Members, as well as members of the general public!

As in society, in all we do (life/work/volunteering) I again realised that there are some interested in assisting on a wider and selfless scale, and some focused on their own issues -something that was evident those 3 days in both private conversations & public statements.
What is truly significant though is that there are numerous people willing to fight to change the indifferent, unjust political system that functions only for politicians and their ‘friends’ and has forgotten the people. Democracy is by the people, for the people – and this is worth fighting for.
All crises need to be dealt with, something that governments claim to be doing in theory but truly lacking results in practice. The severity of each is unfortunately subjective, nonetheless, each and every single crisis is important – there is no pain more painful than the other – pain and suffering is just that – pain and suffering.
