Public trust is rebuilt through radical transparency. Governments must regularly release plain-language updates on decisions, budgets, and impacts. We can imagine (or create ?) great website and platforms to do so. The spread of fake news also undermines democracy. The manipulation of information is a serious threat to societies, leading to the degradation of institutions and democratic processes, preventing people from making informed decisions. We can draw inspiration from Switzerland and Ireland which have a tradition in preparing and sending "Abstsimmungsbüchlein" to all households with precise rules for non-biased and non-partisan information.
