The Travelling Assembly
Towards a permanent Peoples' Assembly for Europe
A citizens' agenda in times of Crisis: From passive victims to effective changemakers?
To prepare for our Assembly moment in Florence (21-23 February), we discuss the following:
What kinds of things could you do as a citizen to change how crises are handled? What support would you need for the things you want to do, either before or during crises?
This is a space where all can contribute! You can add a comment or react to those from others. A summary of this debate will be presented to the Assembly Members during the Florence Assembly moment (External link), so you can also contribute to the process!

It would be important to exert strong pressure on politicians to convince them that they MUST prioritize voter confidence in politics by working for the common good. Example: Denmark! They also need to get close to the people, which is what makes the AfD successful, so that the citizens are noticed. The AfD has also mastered the manipulation of social media. The influence of fake news, etc. can be reduced through intensive educational measures. ONLY through this. Nothing is easier to emotionalize than hatred, from which it only takes a small step to violence. Look at the development among very young teenagers! How to achieve these goals must then reach as many people as possible and move them to action.
