The Travelling Assembly
Towards a permanent Peoples' Assembly for Europe
A citizens' agenda in times of Crisis: From passive victims to effective changemakers?
To prepare for our Assembly moment in Florence (21-23 February), we discuss the following:
What kinds of things could you do as a citizen to change how crises are handled? What support would you need for the things you want to do, either before or during crises?
This is a space where all can contribute! You can add a comment or react to those from others. A summary of this debate will be presented to the Assembly Members during the Florence Assembly moment (External link), so you can also contribute to the process!

Active citizens everywhere: in the workplace, in now certified social networks (in view of the visible danger of the "oligarchs" of the well-known social networks) and in the EU at a high level. The right of European citizens to put forward proposals for laws and regulations to be voted on. Responsible information. Let the scientists find a platform. Political leaders have enough say. Transparency in the media. Democracy means expression of the "demos" (=people). How genuinely is the will of the people expressed today by the system of representation in European democracies?
